How we handle your information

Pathways for Gaza Students is a free, independent volunteer site run by Sam Cahoon. This page explains what we collect, who can see it, and how to have it deleted. If anything here is unclear, email hello@pathwaysforgaza.org.

What we never ask for

We never ask for ID cards, passports, passwords, bank details, or money. If someone claiming to be from this site asks for any of these, it is not us.

If you share your story

We keep what you write in the form, the photos you upload, the name you choose, and the WhatsApp number or email you give us. Your answers save on your own phone while you fill in the form, and you can clear them at any time with the Clear saved answers button. Once you send your story, it is stored in a private database that only Sam can open.

Your photos

Before your photos leave your phone, they are made smaller and their hidden information, including location, is removed. They are stored privately. Nobody else can see or download them.

What gets published

Nothing is published unless you say yes to the exact post. You choose where: this website, the @studentsforgaza Instagram page, or both. We publish your city at most, never your exact location. Your WhatsApp number and email are never published or shared with anyone.

AI help

If you say yes to AI help, Sam may paste your written answers, not your photos or contact details, into Claude, an AI assistant, to help draft your post. If you say no, nothing you write is sent to any AI tool. A person always reviews the post, and you approve it before it goes up.

Changing your mind

You can change your mind at any time, before or after publishing. Email hello@pathwaysforgaza.org and we will remove our post and delete what you sent. We can remove what we control. We cannot pull back screenshots or reposts made by other people.

Visiting the site

Our web host counts basic visits, such as which pages are viewed and roughly which country and type of device visits come from, so we know what is useful. We have not added any tracking, advertising or social media scripts, and we don't use tracking cookies. Your browser remembers your language choice on your own device. We don't run ads and we don't sell anything about you.

Links to Spotfund, Instagram, universities and other organizations go to their own websites, which have their own privacy rules.
